About Vermont Birth Network
Vermont Birth Network exists because care and connection belong together.
We make it easier for Vermont families to find trusted, compassionate perinatal support — and help the professionals who provide that care connect, collaborate, and thrive.
YOU BELONG HERE IF YOU’RE…

A PERINATAL PROFESSIONAL
Who wants to be part of something bigger — a community that believes collaboration strengthens care for everyone.
Meet Emily, Director of VBN
Hi, I’m Emily Piazza — a doula, lactation consultant, and the person behind Vermont Birth Network.
This network began with a simple belief: finding care — or finding your people — shouldn’t be so hard.
Alongside co-founder Greer Sargeant, we dreamed up a place where families could easily find the right support, and where perinatal professionals could find each other. Greer has since stepped away to focus on her graduate studies and therapy practice, but her warmth and vision continue to shape what VBN is today: a living, growing network of care across Vermont.
I’m deeply grateful for the people who make this work possible — and honored to carry the mission forward.
My background in perinatal support and education has taught me that we don’t heal or grow in isolation. We thrive in community — and that’s what Vermont Birth Network is all about.
