About

How our partnership began:

One hot summer day in 2022 along the shores of Lake Champlain Greer and Emily commiserated over how hard it was for families to find and connect to the awesome and helpful care professionals they need and deserve. (Selfishly Emily wanted this for herself because she was having a hard time coming up with referrals when her clients asked her).

They pondered “Wouldn’t it be great if you could find ALL the care professionals that you need during the preconception, pregnancy, birth, and postpartum journey IN ONE PLACE?”. Wouldn’t that be amazing?! And “wouldn’t it be amazing if all these care professionals were a tight knit community learning from each other, supporting each other, working together to weave a strong web of support for folks on the wild ride of pregnancy, birth and postpartum?”

With every client they worked with who struggled to find a postpartum doula, or friend who had multiple tabs open comparing childbirth education classes, or client asking for recommendations for acupuncture, and every time they hung out in community with other birth workers, Greer and Emily kept coming back to this vision of a state-wide connection and community.

So they did it. They revived and rebirthed Vermont Birth Network to be an inclusive, expansive, statewide network making it easy to find care professionals across the pre-conception, pregnancy, birth and postpartum spectrum. Not only does this network make it easy for you to find the support and resources you deserve, it allows the members of the network to thrive through community and connection as well.

How we support you:

Vermont Birth Network is the only state-wide, multi-disciplinary, and regularly updated directory making it the best place to find the right support at the right time in the right place for yourself or your clients.

Having this one-stop resource allows you to connect to a wide variety of services for an empowered, supported, supportive, caring, compassionate, and individualized journey of pregnancy, birth and postpartum. We have so many amazing professionals across the beautiful state of Vermont here to help you, to support you, to lift you up, there is no reason to do it alone.

For our professional members, we want this community to feel like a warm hug, an exciting book, and cheerleader. It is the place you return to again and again when you’re having a bad day or have exciting news to share. It is your place to refer your clients to other services, to ask for someone’s help or expertise, to find new clients, and share your message with the world (ok, probably more like Vermont, but we love local around here).

We’re so glad you’re here!
