What services do you offer to folks during conception, pregnancy, birth, or postpartum?
Pediatric Sleep Coaching!
How did you get into your line of work?
I begin my business, Little Tikes Coaching, when my third son struggled with feeding to sleep for 3 years. I was getting ready to have my fourth and was researching how to stop this sleep association. That's when I learned about what a pediatric sleep consultant was and became very intrigued! I decide to enroll in the course not only to help my family but many others and let them know it doesn't have to be this way!
What do people think you do to support folks?
When people think of sleep coaches they commonly think of cry it out. The methods I provide are hands on, supportive, and do not include cry it out. My methods are evidenced based with a parent present approach. When people think of sleep coaches they commonly think of cry it out. What do you actually do to support folks?
I provide evidenced based methods with individually tailored sleep plans based on your child's needs, your parenting style, your goals, and other factors. Along with one on one support for when those late night questions arise.
What is something that you feel like you are uniquely able to help people with?
While I can help with a variety of sleep associations; my favorite to help families with include the feed to sleep association. Since I breastfed all four of my children, I am able to help families with this association while still maintaining the bond when breastfeeding and including feedings at appropriate times.
What is the one piece of advice you find yourself telling people over and over again?
It all starts with a consistent routine. So many families skip this vital step. Creating a simple bedtime routine helps cue your child sleep is near!
