Cassie is a birth and postpartum during serving the southern VT region.

What services do you offer to folks during conception, pregnancy, birth, or postpartum?

I offer conception and pregnancy guidance for mama and family, birth planning, attendance and advocacy, and postpartum care. All of my services are grounded in holistic, ceremonial traditions to honor the Sacred window of time that you are in.

How did you get into your line of work?

The stark difference between my first two births really lit a fire under me to make a difference in the birth world. I have been a passionate breastfeeding advocate and educator for almost a decade.

I've studied birth and Astrology for many years, and I love to share my perspective on the Spiritual transformation that a woman undergoes during the creation, birth, and nurturing of her sweet baby.

I believe that every woman should have access to the secret codes lying within her birth chart that give her the Divine unique ability to birth and mother her children, so I've made it my mission to offer these services to my community.

What do people think you do to support folks?

I believe the role of a doula can be misconstrued in many ways. I am not here to tell a woman what is or isn't right for her- but rather to guide her to the most empowered version of herself, that is confident to make the choices that are best for her family.

What do you actually do to support folks?

My care starts before conception or during pregnancy. We discuss provider options, birth plans, and physical, spiritual, and emotional goals. I offer moon phase pregnancy planning guides, to allow Moms a way to drop in deeper and connect with baby and her body.

I also discuss potential interventions, risk assessments, and evidence based options so that families are prepared for what may come. I also provide on call support, birth attendance, and postpartum care- including nutritious meals, herbal and ceremonial practices for mother's rest and rejuvenation.

I offer breastfeeding and infant care support, guidance for partners and siblings, and preparations before the birth for rallying a community and filling the freezer.

At all phases of the birth portal, I offer astrological guidance for the parents, and once baby arrives I supply them with an in-depth reading of both mama and baby's chart, with everything they need to know to foster an amazing, supportive relationship.

Astrology is woven into Cassie’s approach to birth and parenting.

What is something that you feel like you are uniquely able to help people with?

My calling resides in instilling confidence in others. I have always had this gift in assuring others of their potential, but I believe it is most needs amongst mothers.

There are forces in the world in which we live in today that will take advantage of a woman (and her children) at nearly any moment. Pregnancy and birth offer us a portal to transmute all of our pain and even anger into power. We can walk out of that experience with the belief in ourselves and our intuitions, that becomes unshakable.

You will find yourself able to answer heavy questions just by your gut feeling, and that is the dream I have for every mother. That is why I offer care that celebrates a woman's power at every phase of pregnancy and beyond, so she carries that love and pride in herself and that the ripple may last for generations.

What is the one piece of advice you find yourself telling people over and over again?

Your body is not broken, you are the perfect mom for your baby. So many women enter into pregnancy with nothing but fear surrounding them, and I believe that most of it comes with no evidence. I stand by families, and encourage and educate them to make sure they are confident in their bodies and their abilities.

What are the top 3 questions people ask when they first start to work with you for support?

Typically I'm asked what services I'm able to help with postpartum (listed above), if I offer referrals to other local providers (which I do), and if I'm comfortable providing basic lactation support (which I am).

Final thoughts:

I've also been asked if I work virtually, which I do! For birth clients this can be an excellent option if they are looking for more privacy during the birth, but advocacy and information to still be readily on call.
