What services do you offer to folks during conception, pregnancy, birth, or postpartum?
The Blooming Circle offers a supportive and welcoming Postpartum Support Group to create space to navigate this time together.
How did you get into your line of work?
After the birth of my second son, I experienced a deeply challenging postpartum season. I struggled with postpartum depression, mom rage, emotional numbness, and difficulty bonding to my newborn. I felt isolated and unsupported. There were no groups, no connections, and no space where I felt truly seen. I started my postpartum mom support group because I don’t want other mothers to feel the way I did – alone in one of the most vulnerable seasons of their lives. My mission is to create a safe, honest, and compassionate space where moms can connect, feel supported, and know they are never alone.
What do people think you do to support folks?
My son believes I just play with babies.
What do you actually do to support folks?
I provide emotional support, education, and practical strategies for navigating the many physical, emotional, and relational changes that occur after birth.
What is something that you feel like you are uniquely able to help people with?
Sitting with someone in their discomfort - offering space for them to express their feelings and validating them.
What is the one piece of advice you find yourself telling people over and over again?
I encourage moms to share their stories, the good, the bad, and everything in between. everyone has a story to tell, so lets hold space!
